Job Purpose

As a Cabinet Sales Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for cabinet solutions, working closely with the sales team, design and estimating department, field operations, and inside operations. Your role is pivotal in acquiring new business, supporting existing accounts, and driving profitable sales while ensuring customer satisfaction and product excellence.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Identify and acquire new customers in collaboration with local management, sales teams, and corporate business development.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing builder clients, ensuring continued satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Develop and manage customer cabinet programs, including pricing, product selections, and sales strategies.
  • Work closely with the design and estimating teams to ensure builder plans are accurately designed, priced, and aligned with customer specifications.
  • Oversee the creation of detailed cabinet programs and pricing for bids, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
  • Assist account managers in maintaining builder cabinet accounts, participating in meetings with builders and homebuyers.
  • Perform market research on competitor products, pricing, and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Analyze sales and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for process improvement.
  • Maintain and manage VDS pricing and builder contracts to ensure accuracy in payments, design center options, and program upgrades.
  • Review and resolve recurring discount errors by working across departments.
  • Assist in resolving installation delays and expediting older outstanding orders.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • High school diploma required; additional education in business, sales, or construction is a plus.
  • 1-3 years of sales or sales support experience, cabinet sales a plus
  • Proficiency with cabinet design software (20/20 preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Comfortable with a work balance of 60% office-based and 40% field/warehouse-based tasks.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.
