Position Type

Job Purpose

Feel like your purchasing role is more about fire-fighting than driving results? Step up and own the strategy that drives success.

You’re constantly chasing orders, putting out supplier fires, and fixing what should’ve been planned right the first time. Sound familiar? At Wisenbaker, we believe purchasing should be proactive, strategic, and empowering—not exhausting.

Your Mission:

Take control of the purchasing function in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where your strategy is the difference between chaos and control. You’ll lead our procurement operations—setting direction, building reliable vendor partnerships, and ensuring materials flow seamlessly into production. This is your chance to be the strategic driver, not just the fixer.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing (and Absolutely Owning from Day One):

  • Lead and execute a purchasing strategy that aligns with production and business goals
  • Build long-term supplier relationships that deliver on cost, quality, and reliability
  • Align procurement with production schedules for just-in-time material availability
  • Track and report supplier KPIs, cost savings, and purchasing performance
  • Resolve bottlenecks before they become problems and streamline processes
  • Mentor a small team and instill a culture of ownership and results

Qualifications & Required Skills

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years in purchasing or supply chain leadership role, ideally in manufacturing - Cabinetry knowledge will be a plus
  • Proven record of improving supplier performance and reducing costs
  • Skilled negotiator and strong ERP/procurement software experience
  • A leader with the mindset to optimize, not just maintain
