Job Purpose

Are you the kind of leader who doesn’t just manage shipping, but owns it? Tired of being overlooked, underappreciated, or stuck under someone who has no clue what happens on the dock? This is your shot to lead from the front, fix what’s broken, and build something better — with the full support of leadership that gets it.

If you're stuck in a role where you get more pressure than leadership — more chaos than clarity — it's time for a change. At Wisenbaker, we believe Shipping Managers should have real authority, clear goals, and a leader who wants you to win, not just “get by.” You'll know exactly what’s expected, you’ll get honest feedback, and your input will matter.

We’re looking for someone who already knows how to run a shipping floor with confidence. If you're still gaining experience — don’t worry. We'll still be here when you're ready.

Your Mission:

Own the entire shipping operation — lead your team, streamline processes, and make sure every shipment leaves accurate, complete, and on time. You’ll be the bridge between warehouse operations and customer expectations, creating a clean, safe, and accountable dock environment where nothing gets missed.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing (And Loving Every Minute of It):

  • Oversee daily dock operations — keeping it safe, clean, and flowing efficiently.
  • Handle all outbound shipping — LTL carriers, dedicated trucks, UPS, and FedEx.
  • Partner with production and order entry to resolve issues fast and avoid delays.
  • Check every load before it rolls — accuracy and safety are your non-negotiables.
  • Keep shipping supplies stocked, systems updated, and communication sharp.
  • Cover both 1st and 2nd shifts as needed — you lead where the action is.

Qualifications & Required Skills

What We’re Looking For:

  • 2+ years of experience supervising shipping or warehouse operations.
  • Confident using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and AS400.
  • High school diploma required; knowledge of DOT laws is a big plus.
  • A calm, capable leader who can handle pressure, solve problems, and rally a team.
  • Someone who takes pride in accuracy, loves organization, and thrives on ownership.

About the Company

But we’re more than materials — we’re a people-powered operation where hard work is noticed, growth is real, and leadership actually leads. If you're ready to be part of something built to last, welcome to Wisenbaker.
