Job Purpose

If your job feels like babysitting broken systems, you’ll like how we do things.

Tired of cleaning up messes you didn’t create? Tired of explaining why your team is burned out — again — while leadership hands you another half-baked priority? You’re not alone. And you’re not the problem.

At Wisenbaker, we don’t need a firefighter. We need a builder. We’re hiring a General Manager to take full command of our cabinetry manufacturing operations — from the loading dock to the front office. You’ll have real decision-making power, a seat at the table with executive leadership, and a team ready for change.

This isn’t about inheriting chaos. It’s about owning the solution.

Your Mission:

Lead a full-spectrum countertops manufacturing facility with bold vision and full P&L authority. Build strong teams, scale high-performance systems, and create an environment where quality, speed, safety, and people all win — together.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

What You’ll Be Doing (and Owning fully):

  • You’ll drive performance in safety, quality, delivery, and cost — and own every outcome with full P&L responsibility.
  • Lead all departments — production, maintenance, engineering, quality, and supply chain — with clear priorities and unified direction.
  • Champion a zero-injury culture with strict OSHA compliance and visible, consistent safety leadership.
  • Roll out Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S as practical tools — not theories — that your team actually uses to improve flow and reduce waste.
  • Ensure your team delivers high-quality products, on time and in full, while strengthening customer relationships.
  • Own site-level strategy, lead automation and investment initiatives, and align plant goals with corporate vision.
  • Build leadership from within, develop a strong succession plan, and foster a culture where people stay, grow, and win.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership on forecasting, staffing, continuous improvement, and long-term growth planning.

Qualifications & Required Skills

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s in Engineering, Operations, or Business. MBA is a bonus.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • 5+ years owning the P&L — not just reporting on it.
  • Countertops or custom product manufacturing experience is a huge plus.
  • Deep understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM — and how to roll it out with real-world buy-in.
  • Strong financial acumen and a data-driven mindset.
  • A leadership style that balances discipline with humanity — you’re clear, fair, and consistent.
